GLADIUS 12 is a compact remote-controlled weapon station (RCWS) suitable for both land and naval applications and designed to be installed on wheeled/tracked armored vehicles, vessels or stationary platforms. It enables the operator to monitor the vehicle (platform) perimeter, detect various types of land or air targets and fire at them from the operator workstation inside the vehicle (platform). GLADIUS 12 is equipped with an electro-optical sight which contains a high-quality thermal imager as well as a day camera and a laser rangefinder. The sight moves independently of the gun carriage, ensuring greater firing accuracy.
