Fin stabilizer
KROSYS acquired the fin stabilizer business from PACMAR (USA) in 1999 and has since successfully localized the technology in Korea. Today, KROSYS independently designs, manufactures, and supplies its own fin stabilizer systems.
We specialize in fixed-type fin stabilizers and have a strong track record of installations on naval vessels, fisheries patrol ships, and special-purpose vessels such as hospital ships.
Expanding beyond the domestic market, KROSYS has actively pursued global opportunities and established a growing international presence. In 2024, we successfully delivered fin stabilizers for two new 90-meter Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) built for the Indonesian Navy. The vessels include:

Designed specifically for ballistic application, this material combines exceptional hardness (~650 HB) with outstanding ductility (31.3% elongation). A rare mechanical pairing in conventional protective steels.
Through an efficient production chain, Nickel Pig Iron (NPI) processing, steelmaking, and hot forming without special heat treatment, this material achieves high performance with low nickel content (≤1.8%), rivaling the performance of high-nickel ballistic steels.

The copters have been deployed in the Republic of Korea Army(RoKA) for operation since the end of 2012 and carry out missions including troop transport, airfreight, contributing to strengthening military power.
KAI continues to expand the scope of operation by development and modification of the military variants such as Amphibious for Marine Corps and MEDEVAC but also para-public uses for National Police Agency, Coast Guard, Firefighting and forest service and so on.
