Compact ranges use a source antenna (feed) to radiate a spherical wave in the direction of a parabolic reflector, collimating it into a planar wave for aperture illumination of a Device under Test (DUT). Its lowest operational frequency is determined by the size of the reflector, its edge treatment, the feed, and the absorbers. The two edge treatments available are serrated edge for general purpose applications, and rolled edge to achieve higher accuracy for special applications. Multiple-feed systems may be used to improve the far-field characteristics. A compact range test system also allows system level testing of a complete device architecture.

Excelling in water fording as well, Derman is capable of traversing water depths of up to 800 mm without any issues. This capability allows it to operate confidently in challenging terrain conditions such as water crossings and swamps. Additionally, Derman can independently load and unload a 24-ton container, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and enabling autonomous operation without the need for external assistance. Equipped with advanced safety features, the vehicle is protected against all kinds of threats with an automatic fire suppression system, a central tire inflation system, and an armored cabin offering ballistic protection. Furthermore, thanks to its blackout mode and camouflage coating, the vehicle can carry out missions discreetly, maintaining a low profile.
