SPOB is a type of ship designed to resemble a barge but is equipped with its own engine and propulsion system so that it does not require a tugboat to move. Generally, SPOB has a smaller capacity and size than a tanker and usually has a simpler design, More often used in shallow waters, rivers, or coastal areas, especially for oil distribution from major terminals to more remote areas or small domestic ports, has a lower speed because it is used in short-range operations.

KAŞiF is a hybrid and one-of-a-kind Work Class Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) which can be operated in drilling operations at depths up to 3000m. KASIF ROV can send over real time video footage to the drillship via its cameras and sensors. Thanks to its robotic arms and special tooling equipment, KASIF can engage with cutting, gasket removal/installation, valve opening/closing and wellhead cleaning operations at deep sea conditions. KASIF ROVS are currently and very actively being used for the gas and oil exploration activities as well as repair and maintenance in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Sea and completed more than 20.000 hours of operation. Owing the only proven Work Class ROV in Türkiye, ARMELSAN does not only provide the product but responsible for the side operation and system maintenance. In that manner, our personnel including engineers, technicians and system operators work onboard the drilling ship on a 7/24 basis.
